Where necessary, we employ contractors and suppliers to work on specific jobs on our managed properties. Rest assured, these individuals and companies are fit for purpose and well vetted by us for property management purposes.

We carefully assess our partners in advance and continue to do so on a regular basis to make sure their approach matches ours – excellence in all that we do.

To ensure peace of mind, every individual is CRB-checked, and we make sure they all have the necessary insurances in place. Every contractor we use across the business on your behalf must meet our tough criteria. By assessing their health & safety standards, their insurance policies and their financial history, you can be assured that every contractor and supplier we use shares our values.

Keeping Our Contractors Safe

We’re tough on our contractors for all the right reasons. To be an approved contractor with FirstPort we must first see a written health & safety policy and you must prove that you follow health & safety regulations. We may also require you to write a risk assessment and/or method statement. These documents may be required as part of your application.
